Charcoal Hub · Manufacturer Sub-site
Manufacturer intelligence built on verifiable evidence
This sub-site is the manufacturer and supplier-qualification layer of Charcoal Hub. Its job is to describe how manufacturer data is sourced, labelled and verified — and to publish a profile only once it can carry an honest verification status.
The published manufacturer set is currently empty by design. We do not publish placeholder factories, sample companies, or invented examples. A profile appears here only when it has a real source and a verification status. Until then, this site documents the model, the process and the labels — nothing else.
01 · Scope
What this sub-site is
Manufacturer intelligence
A structured, field-by-field record of a manufacturer’s identity, products, materials, capacity, quality control, testing evidence, packaging, export posture and commercial terms — each field carrying its own provenance.
Supplier qualification
A defined workflow for turning an unverified lead into a qualified supplier: document review, sample evaluation, batch testing, and on-site or third-party verification.
02 · Method
The qualification model
Every manufacturer profile is a set of labelled fields. Qualification is the process of moving those fields from unconfirmed to confirmed. Three principles hold throughout:
1 · No fabrication
Unknown data is left empty. A company name, location, capacity or certification is never invented to make a profile look complete.
2 · Source every field
Each published field traces back to a source — the supplier, a document, a test report, or our own inspection.
3 · Label the strength
Each profile carries exactly one verification status that says how well supported it is. Self-reported data is labelled as self-reported.
03 · Vocabulary
The four verification statuses
These four levels are the vocabulary of this site. Every profile carries one of them, and the level is shown wherever the data is shown.
Verified
Reliable source, or on-site / document verification.
Backed by a reliable, independently checkable source, or confirmed through on-site inspection or document review. The profile states only what we can actually stand behind.
Supplier Reported
Provided by the supplier — not presented as fact.
Data provided by the supplier about themselves. It is published for context and traceability and is always labelled as self-reported. It is never presented as a verified fact.
Third-Party Verified
Supported by third-party testing or certification.
Supported by independent third-party evidence — for example an accredited laboratory test report or a certification body — rather than by our own or the supplier’s statement alone.
Unverified
Not yet checked against any source.
Not yet verified against any source. Treated as unconfirmed and never relied on as a fact until it moves to a stronger status.
04 · Template
The manufacturer profile template
When a profile is published, it follows this fixed structure so profiles stay comparable:

| 3 | Manufacturing | Raw materials, factory and process. |
| 4 | Production Capacity | Stated capacity and production lines. |
| 5 | Quality Control | QC practices as reported / observed. |

| 7 | OEM | OEM availability. |
| 8 | Packaging | Packaging formats. |
| 9 | Export | Export markets and MOQ. |
